Coltin’s Pro Tips for Using the Guta GT107 TPMS

✔ When using the Guta tire pressure monitoring system it is very necessary that you have metal valve stems with this product. The system will work without metal valve stems, but they will eventually break the rubber stems off.

While using our Guta GT107, we had a valve stem fail. All of our rims had significant markings on the rims where the Guta valve stem caps were hitting. The system did its job and alerted us, and we were able to put on a spare tire

✔ Read the instructions before you try to connect the tire pressure monitoring system. The system is not very hard to use but it does take a little bit of time to learn how to connect the system and to set up the correct limits. We also used a few YouTube videos since, at times, things are easier if you visually see what is done on video.

✔ We have traveled tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of miles without using a tire pressure monitoring system, but using one for the last 5,000+ miles was very nice, and the system has been working for us

✔ The Guta GT107 monitor screen is hard to see at times if there is sun on it, but the great thing about this monitor is that it lasts a very long time. You do not need to keep the monitor plugged in. The Guta monitor will last for weeks without the need to be recharged

Attach the repeater or signal booster to your trailer battery by attaching it to some small alligator clips. This allows you to connect and disconnect easily.

When you unbox the Guta GT107 TPMS, you will find there are probably more items inside than what you were expecting, but they all are in there for a reason. You will have your monitor, sensors, sensor gaskets, sensor nuts, charging cables, mounting options, signal booster, tools, and a bunch of small stickers. All of this comes in a compact and well-packaged box.

The small stickers are there to be used to mark your sensors, so you do not need to reconnect all of your sensors if, for some reason, you need to change them around. If you put the stickers on your sensors, you can keep track of what sensor goes where.

Installing the Guta Tire Pressure Monitoring System

Installed Guta TPMS on our camper tire

Installation of the Guta TPMS is not complicated, but some of the lettering can confuse you at first if you do not read the instructions. The “FF” lettering just means that there is nothing connected in that section yet.

In the instructions, it talks about a “Bi.” This is referencing a beeping noise, and a BiBi means a beep beep sound.

One more thing to understand is that after you connect a tire sensor, you will see a sensor ID. This is a handful of numbers and letters. This means your sensor has been connected, and you should move on to the next sensor.

How To Link The Sensors To The Monitor

It is easiest to connect your Guta sensors before you install them on your trailer or vehicle. The way to connect the sensor to your monitor is very straightforward.

First, after you have turned the monitor on, you will hold down (long press until you hear a beep) the “code” button.

Second, you will press the + or – button to determine which tire you want the sensor to be on.

Third, After you have determined the tire your sensor will be on, you will short-press the “code” button. You will then put the sensor next to the top right of the monitor.  Next, you should hear a beep, and the sensor code will display.

You will repeat these steps until all of the tire sensors have been added to your monitor.

What We Like

There are a lot of things that we like about the Guta Tire Monitoring System. We like how easy it is to use. There are not a bunch of features that you do not need that complicate things.

It works as advertised. The sensors stay connected while you are driving, and once you have established your alert parameters, you are notified of the issues.

What We Didn’t Like

We are not huge fans of how hard it can be to read the monitor when the light is shining on it.

Another issue is that the added weight of the sensor will make your rubber valve stems move A LOT. This means it is best to have metal valve stems before using the TPMS. Any tire store will do this, and it is not that expensive. It is worth the cost if you are going to be using a TPMS.

Our Overall Thoughts on Using the Guta TPMS

Overall, we really like the Guta TPMS. We plan on using it on all of our travels.

It is great because it keeps you informed about your tires, which are one of the most important parts of your RV, camper, motorhome, or vehicle while you are on the road.

How to Use a TPMS

Using a TPMS is not very challenging. It can take a little bit of time to set up the alerts and to know where you should set the alerts.

Every tire can be a little different, so if you have any questions on your specific tire and the alerts that should be associated with that tire and your Guta TPMS, make sure you consult a professional tire technician.

FAQ: Guta GT107 TPMS

Do I Need TPMS Sensors for New Wheels?

Yes, even if your wheels are new, a TPMS is a great thing to have. A TPMS will ensure your tires are kept at the appropriate amount of inflation. This is something that will protect you from accidents and it will prolong your tire life.

Many people will have a tire blow out or a nail puncture their tire, even with new wheels and tires. If your tire is flat on your trailer, some people won’t notice for miles down the road. This will ruin your tire and is dangerous.

Conclusion: Guta GT107 TPMS

Guta TPMS is a reliable and name brand when it comes to tire pressure monitor systems. If you are on the fence about purchasing a Guta system, we would recommend using them.

They have functioned very well. They are quality products that will work with any camper.
