The Pearl Harbor Visitor Center opens daily from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Here, you can watch a short film about the events of that historic day, which gives it great context. The film is shown every half hour so that you won’t miss it.

This was another highlight of our visit. And if you’re up for some adventure, the Lanikai Pillbox Hike is a challenge we recommend.
This fun hike takes you to two abandoned WWII pillboxes that overlook the stunning Lanikai Beach. The trail is about 2,2-mile round trip and starts at the end of Lānaihale Street. Since the trail can get moderately steep, we recommend wearing hiking shoes or sneakers.
As you make your way to the top, you’ll get some of the most breathtaking views of the Mokulua Islands, the Koʻolau Mountains, and Lanikai Beach. It’s a great workout and a fantastic way to enjoy the natural beauty of Oahu.
You can expect to spend around an hour and a half on the trail, depending on how long you linger at the bunkers. After the hike, we highly recommend heading down to the beautiful Lanikai Beach for some well-deserved relaxation.
