Unboxing the Tozalazz 12V Air Compressor
The Tozalazz Air Compressor comes in your standard packaging and ships directly to your house. Upon opening the shipping box, you will notice the air compressor comes in a nice carry case. The case is great for keeping all of the hoses together and also makes it very portable.
One thing you will realize quickly is that the compressor is not light (23 pounds). This is the first sign that the compressor is built to withstand some use. The plastic and lightweight compressors are not suited for filling up tires. They do not supply enough volume for many applications.

Notable Features of the Tozalazz 12V Air Compressor
There are a few notable features that make the Tozalazz stand out from many of the other portable air compressors. One of these features is the 11 CFM under low pressures and a 7 CFM at 30 PSI. This is really great for small portable air compressors. We are able to fill up our suburban tire from 0 PSI to 35 PSI in only three minutes.
Another notable feature is the dual-piston design. This design is what gives the air compressor the ability to produce good airflow at different pressures. The attached pressure gauge works great and makes it very easy to see where the tire pressures are.
For those who want to play on the sand dunes in their off-road vehicles or if you are camping on the beaches you may need to let some air out of your tires. By letting air out of your tires on sandy surfaces you get better traction and it will prevent you from getting stuck.
However, if you do this you will want to carry an air compressor with you because you do not want to have deflated tires when you get back onto the pavement.

Performance Testing and Capabilities
The Tozalazz 12V portable air compressor has been a great portable air compressor when used for lower PSI applications. Since we have been using the compressor, we have been happy with its performance and its capabilities for lower-tire pressure applications.
A few things you will notice with portable air compressors, in general, is that as the tire pressures increase, the slower the compressor will fill up the tires. If you are filling up tires to 80 PSI, or multiple tires, you will want to pay attention to the duty cycle of the compressor.
The Tozalazz has a duty cycle of around 75 percent. This means that after 15 minutes of use, you need to turn off the compressor and wait for 3 to 5 minutes, and let it cool. Generally, this will not be a problem because of the great volumes the compressor produces.
This compressor excels at lower pressures but did not work well when tested with higher PSI applications. We used the compressor to fill up tires from 70 PSI to 110 PSI a handful of times, and it filled them quickly, but the compressor power supply burnt up after only a few uses of this pressure.
Small compressors create lots of heat, and they will get very hot. This is normal, but you must be careful because they can burn you. After you are done using your Tozalazz compressor or equivalent high-quality 12V twin-cylinder air compressor, make sure you let it cool off before you start unhooking your hoses. The connections can get hot.
Our Overall Review of the Tozalazz Air Compressor
Overall the Tozalazz air compressor worked well until we used it for higher preasures. We were surprised at how fast it was able to air up our tires at low pressures, and it was doing a good job at high pressures, but it was unable to sustain much use at high pressure.

What Should I Look For in a 12V Air Compressor?
The main thing you need to look for in a 12-volt air compressor is how much volume can be put out when there is pressure in the tire. Some air compressors will tell you they can put out lots of volume at 0 pressures, but as soon as you get to 5 PSI, the volume shrinks so much that it is not feasible to fill up a tire.
The duty cycle is something else to pay attention to because it determines how long you can run the air compressor before you need to let it cool down. Some 12V air compressors have a 100 percent duty cycle and can be ran continuously.
You should pay attention to the PSI rating but do not pay too much attention to the PSI rating. Some very small compressors have a PSI rating of 150 PSI but would never be able to produce the volume to fill your tires to that PSI. If you notice the weight of the compressor is light compared to similar options, the chances are it can’t produce the needed volumes.
How Much Power Does a 12V Air Compressor Draw?
The heavy-duty portable air compressors that you connect directly to your car battery, like the Tozalazz air compressor, draw around 1080 watts. It is recommended that when using these types of air compressors, you have your car running. When drawing 1080w, you can drain your battery very quickly.
What Is the Best PSI for a Portable Air Compressor?
The best PSI for a portable air compressor depends on how you are going to be using the air compressor. If you are going to be using the air compressor to put air into an inflatable air mattress, you want an air compressor that puts out a high CFM at a lower PSI. If you are going to air up camper tires, off-road tires, or truck tires, you want a compressor that will put out high CFM at higher PSI.
Many compressors say they can go to 150 PSI, but they cannot put out the needed CFM to fill up a vehicle tire. When looking at PSI, you must also look at CFM when shopping for portable air compressors.
Pro Tip: Always consider the CFM output at the desired PSI, and in this regard, Tozalazz worked well for us at a PSI rating below 70. Something we couple with our air compressors is a TPMS. They are a great way to maintain your RV tires and reduce blowouts.
