We have traveled in our RV since 2010 and have traveled through the Oregon Coast on so many occasions that we have made it through almost every campsite along the Oregon Coast.
If you are looking at Oregon Beach campgrounds, we have you covered. The Oregon Coast has a perfect climate for camping, and there are so many great campsites on the Oregon Coast.
Many Oregon Coast State Park campgrounds are right on the beach or have easy access, and you are sure to love all the fun activities. Oregon camping is something you can do if you are tent camping on the Oregon Coast or if you are RV camping on the Oregon Coast. Both are great because of the perfect climate.
The Oregon Coastal campgrounds have something for everyone. If you are traveling the coast on a bicycle or taking your off-road vehicles to the dunes, you will love the Oregon Coast. We frequent the Oregon Coast and find a new adventure every time.

30 Campgrounds on the Oregon Coast
1. Beachside State Recreation Site Campground
Beachside State Recreation Site Campground is just a few miles from Waldport and is one of the best Oregon Coast campgrounds. It is right along Highway 101 and is perfect for watching gray whales and flying kites. It is right next to the beach.
This is a good campground on the Oregon Coast if you enjoy being in the middle of lots of fun things. You are only 30 minutes from tide pools, hiking, 3 lighthouses, crabbing, fishing, clamming, the Oregon Coast Aquarium, and the Science centers.
This campground is not open year-round. It is typically open between March 15th and October 31st. It has a few sites with full hookups and can fit an RV of up to 42 feet. There is only one spot that can fit that size.
At this state park, there are many more sites that will fit 40 ft RV or smaller. There are also two yurt options, with one yurt being pet friendly.

30-Day Free Trial2. Beverly Beach State Park Campground
Beverly Beach State Park Campground is one of the state’s largest campgrounds. The day use area and the campgrounds are just moments away from the beach and are open year-round. The area provides a great opportunity for whale watching.
The binoculars we use for Yellowstone National Park would also work great in this area, or maybe opt for a good spotting scope.
The campground has great trees that give lots of shade, and there is even a playground that the kids will love.
If you want to just go for the day, there is a meeting area you can reserve just for the day if you want a great place to have a get-together with your friends and family.
There are many sites with full hookups and multiple pull-through sites. They have over 20 yurts if you don’t want to bring your camper van or travel trailer
This is one of the best Oregon Coast campgrounds if you have a larger RV set up. They have multiple sites that can fit RVs with a length between 50 and 60 feet long.
3. Tillicum Beach Campground
Tillicum Beach Campground is a very popular campground because of its proximity to the beach and nearby Waldport. The hosts are very friendly. This campground has very clean flush toilets and drinking water (it’s still a good idea to use a water filter) but does not have showers available.
The largest RV spots available will accommodate a max length of around 55 feet, and only a few options will fit this length. All of the sites provide a picnic table and a fire ring that can be used for roasting smores or just having a nice campfire in the evening.
We love to play camping games around the fire and other outdoor family games around our site.
The views of the Pacific Ocean are fantastic. Cape Perpetua is also nearby if you want to explore the really neat Sitka Spruce trees there.
4. Rock Creek Campground
Rock Creek Campground is a small campground with only 13 campsites on the Oregon Coast. It is surrounded by large trees and is close to the Oregon coast beach. This does not offer group sites. There are no hookups available so if you are coming in an RV, make sure your RV batteries and batteries for boondocking are charged. It does have vault toilets and drinking water.
This is a good idea for those looking for a smaller campground that offers good bird watching and fishing opportunities. The campground is open from May to September but is not an overly busy campground.
This campground has a few options if your RV is 45 feet or less. You will also most likely not have any cell service in this campground.
5. Carl G Washburne Memorial State Park
The Carl G Washburne Memorial State Park has some great sites shaded by trees. It has some good trails at both ends of the camp that go to the beach. You can also access the Heceta Head Lighthouse from the Heceta Head Trail.
The round trip is six miles from the campground. Backpackers can use the first come, first serve camp section for those who are on foot or on a bicycle. This campground is also a year-round camp.
There are full hook-ups in 41 of the campsites, and there are two yurt options. One of them is pet friendly. There is a dump station in the day-use area west of Hwy 101.
There are multiple sites that can hold an RV that is 50 feet long or smaller. The max length this campground can hold is 53 feet.
6. Heceta Beach RV Park
Heceta Beach RV Park is one of the best RV parks near Florence, Oregon. The park is a great central location close to lighthouses, sand dunes, and beaches. There are lots of huckleberry and salal berry bushes in the park.
Because of the many berry bushes, you will find the large campsites on the Oregon Coast have great privacy. This is a good option for those looking for a location that works for large groups, and your pets can come as well.
If you are interested in spending a little time in the nearby Three Rivers Casino, it does offer pick-up times at the campground.
This is an excellent option for those who have a large RV. This campground can accommodate some of the largest RV setups with lots of pull-through spaces.
7. Jessie M Honeyman Memorial state park campground
The Jessie M Honeyman Memorial State Park Campground is open year-round and is close to the sand dunes, just a few miles south of Florence. This is the second largest state park campground and has two freshwater lakes. This is a campground that will work for all seasons.
In the fall, you will find lots of huckleberries and blackberries to pick at this Oregon Coast campground. The large campground makes for an excellent location for a large family get-together.
If you are looking to ride the sand dunes, spend time at the ocean, go fishing or relax in the Florence area, this could be one of your best campsites on the Oregon Coast.
You can drive your ATV or SXS directly onto the dunes from October until April. If you are there with your off-road toys, you will want to look at Loop H, as this is the loop that allows direct access to the sand dunes in Oregon.
This campground on the Oregon Coast can fit up to a 60-foot length. If you are staying in the area and looking for a campground with lots of things to do, make sure to give this one a look.
8. Waxmyrtle Campground
Another one of the best Oregon Coast campgrounds close to Florence is the Waxmyrtle Campground inside the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. It is close to the beach and has great hiking trails. It is also close to the part of the dunes that is closed to motorized vehicles.
The close proximity to the Siltcoos River Estuary makes for great opportunities to see wildlife. The campground is not year-round but is open from May to September. These sites do not offer hookups.
If you are interested in the off-highway adventures close to the campground, the Siltcoos staging area is less than a mile from the campground.
9. Half Moon Bay Campground
Half Moon Bay Campground is a favorite for those ATV riders looking to explore the Oregon Sand Dunes. This is a great spot for large groups who are looking to ride the dunes with their motorcycles, ATVs, or SXS vehicles.
You are just seconds away from the Umpqua #2 Staging Area with OHV trails that go to and from the sand dunes. If you have a large RV with a trailer, this campground will most likely be able to accommodate you.
The campground is heavily geared towards those who are looking to play on the dunes with their off-road vehicles. The Umpqua Lighthouse is within walking distance from the campground, and the dunes can be great for hiking if you don’t mind the sound of the off-highway vehicles.
The sand dunes are so fun. If you have not driven an ATV or side-by-side, we would highly recommend it. If you do not want to be the driver, there are many tour options where you can be a passenger, and they will drive you around the dunes.
These are so fun and something everyone will enjoy.
10. Horsfall Beach Campground
The Horsfall Beach Campground is a good campground near Coos Bay with excellent sand dunes access. If you are looking for Oregon Coast campgrounds that are close to the dunes, this is a good idea. It is also very close to the Spinreel Dune Access, where you can rent RZRs or ATVs.
The campground does not have hookups, so if you are looking for hookups, you will want to look at some of the other options in the area. It does have flush toilets and available drinking water.
The beach is very close to the campground. There are sections of the dunes where you can ride motorized vehicles and sections where you cannot. This campground has quick access to both, making it a great place to play beach with your kids and ride off-highway vehicles.
During our last trip to Coos Bay, we spent lots of time at this part of the coast.
The largest RV site available is 52 feet long. There are some reviews of theft at one point in this campground, so it is advised to lock up valuables and generators.
11. Sunset Bay State Park
Sunset Bay State Park is a family-friendly, year-round campground on the Oregon coast. There are beautiful beaches just a short distance from the campground. They also have great trails that connect Shore Acres and Cape Arago state parks.
The trails have wonderful views of the beach, cliffs, and the Cape Arago lighthouse. You can make reservations six months in advance. There are 30 sites that are full hookup and another 35 sites with electric and water.
They have 8 yurts, with 4 of them being pet friendly. If you are wanting a group site, they have a couple of tent group sites that are only open from the middle of May to the end of September.
Be sure to check out the interpretive options this campground supplies, such as history walks, nature walks, guided tide pool tours, and fun youth programs.
The maximum length for an RV is around 45 feet long. This is a great Coos Bay option with beautiful scenery.
12. Umpqua Lighthouse State Park
A great campground is in Umpqua Lighthouse State Park. It is very close to the Salmon Harbor Marina in Winchester Bay, which has some of the best crabbing and fishing areas along the Oregon Coast.
The campground does border the Oregon Sand Dunes, but it does not provide direct access to the dunes. The closest access point would be the #3 Staging Area which is 1.5 miles away. You can walk to the Umpqua River Lighthouse, which is only half a mile away from the campground.
You can take a tour of the lighthouse, but it would be a smart idea to check out the schedule online.
The campground is on the smaller side, with only 12 full hookup options and 8 sites with electrical and water. Those 8 do not have sewer. You will find clean, flush toilets and showers in the camp.
If you would like to stay at an Oregon Coast yurt, you will find 11 yurts or rustic log cabins here. Some of the yurts and cabins are pet friendly.
The largest RV length you can fit in this campground is 56 feet, but there is only one option at that length. You will have a few more options around the 50-foot length or slightly less.
You will not be able to walk to the beach from this location, but the beach is a short drive from the camp.
13. Bastendorff Beach
The Bastendorff Campground is nestled among the trees with 74 large sites with water and electricity options available. The campground has a very nice day-use area where you will find shelters with electricity, water, and a playground that is great for the kids to play on.
There is also a basketball court and a fish cleaning station. There are many close attractions that bring people from all over the United States. You can fish in the ocean for many different types of fish like salmon and steelhead.
You may also enjoy whale watching, clam digging, and trying your hand at crabbing. We love crabbing and go with our kids every time we visit the Oregon coast. Don’t be afraid to ask the camp host where to rent the needed equipment.
14. Windy Cove A and B RV Park and Campground
The Windy Cove Campground is right on Winchester Bay. You will be able to see the bay directly from the campground. There are two loops – Loop A and Loop B. They are very similar and right next to each other.
This is an excellent location for many activities. You can ride your OHV/ATV directly to the Oregon sand dunes from both locations. An OHV lane takes you right onto the dunes from both loops.
You will also find a playground at Loop B. It is a short walk to the playground from Loop A. The great thing about this location is the decent cell coverage you get and being in Winchester Bay.
You will find lots of accesses for boating, fishing, bike riding, viewing wildlife, and checking out the nearby docks. If you do not have a RZR, Can-Am, four-wheeler, motorcycle, or other off-highway vehicles to ride at the dunes, check out the rental options available close by.
The sand dunes are very enjoyable and loved by many people. If you don’t want to drive a vehicle on the dunes, you can book a tour where a driver familiar with the dunes will drive a group around.
15. Premier RV Resorts Lincoln City
Premier RV Resorts has been ranked in the top 25 of the nation’s RV parks. They provide some of the best hospitality you will find for an RV park. You will find everything you need to have a great experience here.
They have a spa, gift shop, lounge, laundry, restrooms, and showers. If you are looking for a really nice and clean option for camping sites in the Lincoln City area, you will enjoy Premier Resorts.
They have invested lots of time and money into making this RV park one that everyone will love. They have both pull-through and back-in sites with a couple of premier sites with a great ocean view.
16. Gold Beach Roadside Camping
If you are someone looking to boondock along the coast, we found a fantastic location just outside of Gold Beach. You are right along the ocean and very close to town. We really enjoyed looking out the windows at the ocean; it often seems better when it is free.
17. Oceanside RV Park
Oceanside RV Park is right on the beach, and those who stay often spend time fishing for salmon or steelhead. The park has 100 full hookup spaces, all having sewer, electric, and potable water. There is also a dump station. (Don’t forget your dump gloves!)
At this RV park, there is no tent or dry camping area. There are a few trees in the area, so you will not find a lot of shade. There are multiple RV sites that have great views of the ocean and the river since this location is where the Rogue River runs into the Ocean.
They have laundry, showers, and restrooms on-site. You can also rent a nice private yurt that will fit up to 6 people. You cannot cook or smoke in the yurts, but they do have fire rings and picnic tables. Neither of the yurts is pet friendly.
18. Nesika Beach RV Park and Campground
The Nesika Beach Campground is on a beautiful and secluded Oregon Coast. You will find them close to the fun town of Gold Beach. They are only 6 miles away. They have everything you need for a great RV stay.
You will enjoy the close hiking, biking trails, and great local beaches. You will have access to showers at no cost to you in a very quiet RV park. This is a perfect place to relax in your camping hammock under your awning lights!
While you are there, we hope you take the time to explore the sweet town of Gold Beach. Gold Beach has great restaurants, great seafood, and many fun events. You will love the laid-back atmosphere, jetties, and their great library.

19. Turtle Rock RV Resort
Turtle Rock RV Resort has some of your best RV spaces on the Southern Oregon Coast. They also have very nice cottage rentals available. They are only one hour away from the Redwoods and Bandon, where you will find many fun activities like dune buggies, horse rides, and many great beaches.
If you are looking for another great activity, be sure to check out Jerry’s Jet Boats. They will take you through the Rogue River. You can also spend some time catching delicious salmon.
This park is part of the Good Sam Program and is called “The Top Waterfront Park.” You will be able to hear the water you are so close.
They are known to be a fun location if you are having a family reunion or wedding. This is because they have a large kitchen available that can fit up to 80 people. Gold Beach even selected them in 2019 for the Best RV Park. They even have RV hot tub sites with a deck and patio furniture.
20. Harris Beach State Park
Harris Beach State Park is near Brookings, Oregon, and is great for trails, rocky outcroppings, and sightseeing. Bird Island is close, which is a breeding ground for rare birds like the tufted puffin. There is also lots of other wildlife you will see in the area.
This is a year-round camp, but some loops are not open year round. Loop C is going to be FCFS camping the other loops are reservations.
This has many full hookup spots and spots with just electricity and water. You will also find six yurts you can reserve. Three of the yurts are pet friendly.
The largest RV length is 57 feet, with only one site being able to accommodate that length. They have a few more options if you are a little smaller than that.
The nearby Samuel H Boardman area is one of the most beautiful locations on the Oregon coast. There are great hikes and viewpoints you will love. If you are looking for Instagram-worthy pictures, you will find them on the Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor.
This state park’s beach is also a great place to go tide pooling which makes it one of our favorite campsites on the Oregon Coast.
21. Beach Front RV Park
Beach Front RV Park in Brookings is right on the beach close to the docks. You will love the sound of the waves hitting the beach. There is no camping in your car, truck, SUV, passenger van, or school bus in this RV park.
They have full hookups, partial hookups, and dry camping available. If you have an additional trailer for a car, ATV, or boat, you will be charged an additional $10 per day, but storage is limited and available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
22. Cannon Beach RV Resort
Cannon Beach RV Resort is a full-service resort that is only a half mile away from the famed Haystack Rock and great sandy beaches. They have an indoor pool and hot tub along with a banquet room, convenience store, and game room. This is one of the best RV parks near Cannon Beach.
The Cannon Beach area is a favorite for many with year-round activities like horseback riding, surfing, wine tasting, and some of the best restaurants and shopping the Oregon Coast has to offer. All of this is very close if you are staying at the Cannon Beach RV Resort.
They have all the necessities for your campers. They will fill your propane tanks and sell gasoline and diesel. If you are coming with a group, they offer group discounts.
The longest RV they can accommodate is 60 feet long, and they do not allow tents at this time. This includes car camping tents. Your rooftop car tents and pickup tents are not allowed in this RV park. You can stay in your popup trailer.

23. Nehalem Bay State Park
Nehalem Bay State Park is nestled along a sand spit that is 4 miles long. You are close to the beach, which is just on the other side of the sand dune. You will enjoy the almost 2-mile-long bike path that runs through the trees and has beautiful views of the bay.
Make sure to keep an eye out for deer, elk, and birds that are often seen grazing nearby. They have a boat ramp and seasonal docks that are open from May to October but be sure to check on this if you plan on using them because the exact open and close dates can change slightly from year to year.
This is a large camping facility with 265 sites with electrical and water hookups and 18 yurts. They have a horse camp for those who are bringing their own horses. They also have an airport with a 2,400-foot airstrip.
Their airport camp has primitive fly-in campsites on the Oregon Coast, and part of the park is first-come-first-serve from November to April. Be sure to check out the Kayak Tillamook for your kayak tours and Oregon Beach Rides for your horseback rides. The kids will also enjoy the playground.
The largest RV sites available fit an RV and tow trailer that is up to 59 feet in length and are back-in sites. We stayed here during our last visit to Cannon Beach and had a great time. We loved the short walk to the beach and all of the great trails in the park. This is a great campground to stay at if you are looking for inexpensive campsites near Cannon Beach.

24. Seaside RV Resort
The Seaside RV Resort is a Thousand Trails Resort. It is open year-round with 261 sites. Many scenic and historic sites are close to this Oregon Coast campground. This is a great stop to visit the Air Museum, Seaside Aquarium, and the Lewis and Clark historical sites.
After spending your days visiting the fun activities in Seaside, you can relax in the pool and spa or play a round of pickleball.
There are also fun cottages and cabins that can sleep up to six people, with some allowing pets. This RV park has lots to offer. Be sure to check out their site map as not all sites have access to wifi, and some sites are located closer to the park activities and pool area.
25. Cape Lookout State Park
The Cape Lookout State Park is one of the popular Oregon Coast campgrounds with a great day-use area. It is located between Netarts Bay on a spit next to the ocean. Plus, it is only 15 minutes from Tillamook, where you can get some of the best ice cream and cheese on the coast.
You will find miles of hiking trails with hikes for everyone. They also have a relaxing nature trail that begins at the registration area. Make sure to take a look at this comprehensive camping map of the Cape Lookout Trail it has all the information you will need to find a fun hike.
There are many tent sites available along with 38 full hookup sites. This is a good place to bring your furry friends as they are close to the beach (campsites don’t have beach views), where you can walk your dog on a leash, or just north of the campground, you are permitted to have your dog off-leash.
These campsites are perfect for relaxing by your portable propane fire pit.
There are some great scenic routes and viewpoints in this area that you might want to check out. There is the Cape Meares State Scenic Viewpoint with a lighthouse, whale watching, and the biggest Sitka Spruce in Oregon.
You have Clay Myers State Natural Area towards the south and the Sedge State Natural Area. Both have great wildlife viewing, sandy beaches, and forestland. You can tour the island on the mile-and-a-half loop trail at Clay Myers.
The Bob Straub State Park and the Munson Creek Falls State Natural Site are home to the highest waterfall on the coast.
You can fit RVs with lengths of up to almost 60 feet in this campground on the Oregon Coast. They also offer cabins, yurts, hot showers, amphitheater, and it is a good area for hiking and biking.
26. Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort
The Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort is a very nice resort and caters to those who are a little older in age. This is one of the nicest, if not the nicest, resort on the Oregon Coast. They have regulations on how old your RV can be to stay here. They have amazing grass and view sites.
To stay here, you must have a Class A or Class C motorhome with a length of 29 feet or greater in “like new condition.” They are a triple 10-rated Good Sam Resort and have been for the last 6 years. This is the finest resort.
They do not allow towable campers of any kind in this resort. This includes 5th wheels.
27. Seal Rocks RV Cove
Seal Rocks RV Cove is unique in the fact that they do not have much, if any, concrete in their park. They offer lots of trees, grass, privacy, and great beach views. It is close to Newport, home to the Devils Punchbowl, and Waldport, both places we enjoy.
The RV park has 17 big rig sites and is right off of Hwy 101. The cell service is not very good along the Oregon Coast, but with Weboost, you can get good service here.
Make sure to check out the nearby Elephant Rock, where there is a great cove with seals, and it is a very good spot for a family because the waves are not big.

28. Cape Perpetua
Cape Perpetua is a favorite for many because of the great location between the forest and the beach. It has some extraordinary hiking trails, Thor’s Well, and some of the best places for sandy beaches you will find.
This is not a year-round campground, and there is a short window from March 11 to March 17th where the park is open but only on a first-come-first-serve basis. The park then accepts reservations, and the season ends on September 24th.
The largest available RV spot is for 60 feet, but only one is available. Hookups are unavailable at this location, but they have drinking water and flush toilets. They do not have cell service in this location. This is a beautiful area to look for campsites on the Oregon Coast.
29. Bullards Beach State Park
Bullards Beach State Park offers a large year-round camping experience with yurts, hookups, picnic shelters, and a horse camp. At the end of the road, you will find the Coquille River Lighthouse.
The horse camp has double and quadruple corrals for your animals along with miles of trails. Hiking and biking are favorites for many along the Oregon Coast. Their newly redone hiker and biker camp is great. It offers storage lockers and solar-powered USB charging ports.
30. Sutton Campground
The Sutton Campground is close to the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, but if you are going to be visiting the area, make sure you get a permit to park. If you have the America the Beautiful Pass, you just need to display it because the sand dunes are a National Recreation Area.
The Sutton Campground has group sites and standard sites that are electric, but they also have a group and standard nonelectric sites. You will enjoy the trails and berry picking in the area.
This campground has almost a 5-star average for reviews, with many people enjoying the secluded campsite, and the fact that they have cell service in the area is also a plus. Others love the camp because the space for each site is large, so you are not super close to your neighbors.
This campground can fit RVs up to about 70 feet long, and they have multiple sites that will fit RVs over 60 feet long. If you have a big rig and have trouble finding a place, this campground will fit some of the largest vehicles on the Oregon Coast.
Yurt CampSites on the Oregon Coast
Yurt camping on the Oregon Coast can be such a fun experience. Many campgrounds on the Oregon Coast have yurts, cabins, or cottages you can rent in very beautiful locations all along HWY 101 and its beautiful beaches.
The Otter Rock Surf Yurt is a great private yurt with ocean views very close to the beach. It is very secluded in comparison to the yurts you will find in the campgrounds along the coast.
VRBO is another great way to find Oregon Coast Yurts. The “Cozy Oceanfront Oregon Coast Yurt With Private Hot Tub” is highly rated with a BBQ near the beach.
The state park yurt rentals will be cheaper, but they are a little less private since they typically have multiple in close proximity in a campground. They are still awesome and much cheaper options typically. These parks are some of the best for yurts.
