1. Heceta Beach RV Park

Heceta Beach RV Park near Florence, Oregon

Heceta Beach RV Park is a nice quiet RV park to the north of Florence, Oregon. It is only five minutes from Heceta Beach. Heceta Beach RV is a nice central location close to a lot of great lighthouses, like the Heceta head lighthouse, Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, sandy beaches, and some really great coastal drives.

You can fit large or small RVs in this RV park with many of the RV sites you are able to pull through. They have full hook-up sites and partial hook-up sites. The sites are fairly private.

If you have a large group, you can take advantage of the meeting hall for a nice lunch or dinner with access to a full-size fried and a stove. There is a small fitness center with a treadmill and a few free weight stations.

The onsite convenience store is a decent size. If you are interested in spending some time at the Three Rivers Casino, they do offer pickup to this RV park.

2. Harbor Vista Campground and Park

Harbor Vista is a Lane County campground. It is open year-round and has 45 sites available and a dump station. There is a day-use area that has swings and a nice grassy area to play on.

The website is not the easiest to use, so if you have trouble booking your stay or have questions, you can call (541)682-2000, and they can answer your questions.

Harbor Vista is a fantastic area with very pretty views. There is very easy access to the beach, and is pet friendly.

3. Pacific Pines RV Park and Storage.

The Pacific Pines RV Park and Storage is a pretty basic RV park. It is a clean RV park with showers, flush toilets, and a little game room or relaxing area. There is not a lot of tree coverage in this park, but there is some.

You are in a large parking lot with some shrubs and bushes along the edges of where you park your RV. They have a storage area on the property, making it a good option for those who will be staying for longer periods of time and might want a little extra storage space.

This is a Good Sam RV Park, so if you are a Good Sam member, you will get a discount of six dollars if you are booking at the nightly rate. The Good Sam membership is a good way to save money if you are going to be traveling in your RV.

The membership is not very expensive, and if you were to only stay at this RV park for a few days, you would have paid for the membership.

4. Port of Siuslaw Campground

The Port of Siuslaw Campground is a good economical campground with nice views. If you stay at their premium full hookup sites, you are right on the Siuslaw River. This is a really cool place to check out the docks and go fishing.

They have a really nice fish cleaning station for those who will spend time catching fish out of the river. This campground also has access to the river clam beds if you are interested in going after some clams.

The campground is large and geared towards those who want to be close to the river and downtown Florence. Their gazebo can be used by guests and non-guests in the area.

This is definitely one of the RV parks near Florence, Oregon that caters to those who are going to be fishing, crabbing, and clamming but is still a reasonable option for those who might only be doing a little of those activities.

5. South Jetty RV and Camping Resort

This Thousand Trails South Jetty RV Resort is a large 184-site RV park. Their location is probably one of our favorite RV parks near Florence, Oregon because of its proximity to town and the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area.

They are the perfect place with lots of trees and spacious RV campsites. They have lots of activities at the campground that we enjoyed when we stayed here. You can play pickleball and basketball, play at the playground or spend time in the pool and hot tub.

If you don’t want to bring your RV or camper, they offer some great yurt and cabin options, with some being pet friendly if you are wanting to bring your pets.

6. B&E Wayside RV Park

The Wayside RV Park is another cheaper RV park option in the area. If you are staying for a few days, a month or more, you can save some money staying here. They have a nearby coin laundry facility, Rite Aid, and Fresh Harvest Café.

You will get cell service in the RV park along with level sites, showers, and bathrooms. This RV park is a large paved parking area with hookups. It is close to the Three Rivers Casino, beaches, and the Oregon Sand Dunes.

This is not a fancy campground but has everything you need if you are looking for a nice economical RV camping experience.

7. Siuslaw Marina River RV Park

The Siuslaw Marina River RV Park is going to be the RV park that is the farthest east up the Siuslaw River. Their website is not the most user-friendly. We would recommend calling them by phone to set up a reservation or ask any questions. Their phone number is 541-997-3254.

If you are looking for a relaxing location a little outside of town, this would be a decent option. If you are looking to do some crabbing, hunting, and fishing in the area, this is a great spot. They cater to the sportsman in this RV park.

They have a boat ramp, boat rentals, boat mooring, and a store for all your marina needs. If you are a fisherman looking for a good spot, this would be a reasonable option for you.

8. South Jetty Sand Camping

South Jetty Sand Camping is a really fun and unique experience. You are directly on the sand in the North OHV area in the Oregon National Dunes Recreation Area, where you can experience miles of unique sand dunes that can be accessed with your 4X4 vehicles.

OHV riding on the sand dunes is one of our favorite activities in the Florence, Oregon area. Even if you don’t have an off-highway vehicle, you can experience the dune by renting a four-wheeler or side by side at any of the nearby rental options.

There are also great sand tours in the area you are sure to love if you want to take a ride on the dunes but don’t want to be the driver. If you are sand camping on the Oregon Dunes, make sure you take the proper precautions not to get stuck in the soft sand.

Sand camping does not have hookups of any kind but is a great spot for large or small group reservations looking to spend some time on the dunes.

9. Jessie M. Honeyman Memorial

The Honeyman Memorial Campground is a huge campground with over 360 sites and is one of the best places to camp on the Oregon Coast. This ranges from over 180 tent sites and 114 standard sites, with the other sites being for group tents and hookup sites. There are also ADA sites and 10 yurts.

This is a great campground if you want to experience the Oregon sand dunes and is a great spot to try sandboarding. Sandboarding was first started in the Florence area and is home to the Sand Masters Park, which is a dedicated sand park for those who are sandboarding.

This is the most versatile camping area in Florence that is great for families who will be riding ATVs on the sand dunes and those who just want to experience the great dunes up close.

There are two freshwater lakes where you can take your stand-up paddle boards or other small boats to relax. This is a good location no matter the time of year. You can enjoy this park in the summer months or the winter.

One thing to keep in mind is if you are visiting between May to September, you will hear some noise because of the proximity of the dunes and the OHVs that frequent the area.

This campground also is a fun location for those who are looking for some hiking right from the campground.

10. Darlings Marina

Darlings Marina is south of Florence and Honeyman State Park near Dunes City. They are located in the Siltcoos Lake area making for amazing views. You can have full or partial hookups and nice bathrooms in this RV park.

Darlings offers mooring for your boat, or you can rent a boat or kayak to play with in the Siltcoos Lake. The café in the park is very convenient as well as their pub and store.

The proximity of the park and the lake make for an easy place to go fishing and to have a waterfront picnic table. They are big rig friendly with picnic tables and a fire ring.

11. Three Rivers Casino Resort

Casinos can be a great place to stay with an RV. We have stayed at multiple casinos throughout the years. The Three Rivers Casino Resort is no different. They are open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. You do not need a reservation to camp in your RV here.

After you have found a suitable parking spot, typically in the back, You will need to go check in with the security at the main entrance. You can stay for up to 4 nights. If you like to gamble or do not gamble much, these can still be a good place to stop.

The casino has restaurants and is close to other fun activities in the Florence area. If you are staying for just a few nights and are not looking for anything special, the Three Rivers Casino Resort could be just what you need.

12. Lakeshore RV Park

Lakeshore RV Park is another one of the smaller RV parks near Florence, Oregon with lake view sites. They are an economical option with a nightly rate of 34 dollars, a weekly rate of 156 dollars, and a monthly rate of 375 dollars.

Their website is limited, so for reservations and additional information, you will want to call 541-997-2741.

What to do in Florence, Oregon

Florence, Oregon is a fantastic coastal town with lots of fun activities. If you are looking for something fun things to do while staying at the RV parks near Florence, Oregon, below are some of our favorite activities.

Cape Perpetua

Cape Perpetua has some wonderful viewpoints and has the highest viewpoint you can get to in your car. There is a large 26-mile trail system where you can visit lots of the diverse old-growth forests in the area.

Cape Perpetua is open 7 days a week and most of the year but is open less in the winter, so make sure to check their hours in the winter. There is a lot to know about Cape Perpetua, so we would recommend checking out their website for more details. Be sure to visit Thor’s Well when you are in the area.

Sand dunes

The Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area is one of the most exciting things on the Oregon Coast. You can experience massive sand dunes and the activities that go along with them. You can take a ride on the dunes in an ATV or rent a sand board to try your hand at sliding done the dunes.

Crabbing is something we do every time we visit the Oregon Coast. It is so fun to catch crabs, so it is a win, win to catch the crabs yourselves and then cook them for dinner.

The kids love to catch the crabs and eat them but typically need help catching and eating them.

Beaches

The Oregon coast beaches are super fun. You can go whale watching, sea lions, and beautiful birds or hike to some really fun and pretty beach areas.

Some of our favorite beaches in the area are Baker Beach and Bob Creek. If you can, visit Bob Creek at low tide because there are amazing tide pools there.

Day trip to Newport

Newport is another favorite Oregon Coast location. It is such a nice place with lots of fun, family-friendly activities. If you want to experience some different views, restaurants, and tide pools, we would recommend taking a short trip to Cannon Beach and Seaside.

Visit The Lighthouses

We love to visit the lighthouses along the Oregon Coast. They get you outside with some easy hikes, and each lighthouse has a little different story. Make sure you visit the lighthouses in the Florence area.

Honeyman State Park

Honeyman State Park is a great place to explore. You can camp at the park as we describe above, but it is also a good place for a day-use if you are not staying in the park.

If you want to rent a sandboard and sandboard the dunes, Honeyman is a good place to sandboard if you don’t want to spend the money to go to Sand Masters.
