Element Moab Pet Policy

Element Moab is a pet-friendly hotel, but it does have some limitations. See more specific details concerning their pet policy below.

Pet fees

A $50 non-refundable pet fee is required for each stay at Element Moab.

Pet weight limits

Element Moab welcomes guests vacationing with up to two dogs, but no more. The dogs must weigh 50 pounds or less to stay at Element Moab.

Traveling with dogs in Moab can be tricky, as they aren’t permitted on most trails at Arches or Canyonlands National Parks. That said, they can stretch their legs at the Bark Park, only a five minute drive from this hotel.

Element Moab Hotel Rooms

There are five different levels of comfort and accommodation to choose from when staying at Marriott’s Element Moab. The size of your party, the length of your stay and your proposed budget will all come into play when deciding which option best fits your needs.

Standard Room

Standard room at Element Moab

A Standard Room is available in King or Queen bed sizes and offers the typical hotel room basics, with the added makings of a mini-kitchen, complete with a mini fridge, microwave, dishes and glasses.

The Standard King room is 337 square feet and is designed for two guests. A Double Queen Standard Room is 418 square feet and is designed for up to four guests. Both rooms can accommodate one crib, which is good to know if you’re traveling with littles.

A nice workspace, complimentary internet and Netflix are included in each room as well.

Guest Room

Guest room at Element Moab

The guest room is a single king room designed for two guests at 372 square feet. This room is very comparable to the standard king room, with the added difference of a full fledged kitchen, minus an oven.

If this room seems appealing, but you’re traveling with a couple extra people, the Guest Room is also available as a Double King (designed to accommodate four people) with a more limited kitchen. If you’re traveling with children keep in mind that this room does not permit rollaway beds or cribs.

Studio

Studio room view from the living area

The studio is like your own mini home away from home. At 531 square feet it is designed to accommodate up to six guests. The Studio features two comfy Queen beds, one sofa bed and permits one crib.

Like the Guest Room, this set-up offers you the convenience of a full kitchen (minus the oven, again). This can be a great addition to a hotel room in those moments when the kids want a snack that isn’t prepackaged or for when you’ve grown tired of eating out and crave the opportunity to cook your own meal.

Premium One Bedroom Suite

The Premium One Bedroom Suite is the leveled up version of the studio. With the same two Queen beds, one sofa bed and six person occupancy, the suite connector floorplan more than doubles the studio’s space.

Coming in at 1,195 square feet, the Premium One Bedroom Suite offers separate sleeping, living and dining spaces. Complete with a mini-fridge, microwave, dishes and glasses.

The distinction of spaces can make such a difference when traveling, especially on an extended visit. Families won’t feel as claustrophobic in the Premium One Bedroom Suite as they might in a typical hotel room.

If you’re planning to spend a series of nights at Element in Moab as a family, this might be the best option for you.

Studio Commons

Studio Commons Living Area

The Studio Commons is an excellent option to have on hand when traveling with a large party. At 2,125 square feet, this suite features 4 large rooms and can accommodate up to 16 people.

It features 8 Queen size beds, one sofa bed and permits one crib and rollaway bed each. And you won’t have to worry about fighting over the bathroom, as there are four to choose from in this space.

With the added bonus of a fully equipped kitchen (all the basics you would expect in the home, even pots and pans!) you can plan on enjoying lovely family meals around the table. Or maybe even enjoy a board game or two there or in the separate living room.

Element Moab Swimming Pool and Hot Tub

Swimming pool at Element Moab in Southern Utah

Swimming Pool and Hot Tub Hours: Please contact the hotel for seasonal details and hours

One of the highlights of any trip to Moab is the time spent at the hotel pool. It can make or break a trip. Lucky for us, the heated outdoor pool and hot tub at Element Moab are very enjoyable.

The pool is fun and clean, offering adults and kids alike a place to splash around and have a good time. The hot tub and fire pit are nice additions as well.

The long rectangular pool is encircled with loungers and even a small group of cabanas. The cabanas are really enjoyable, but with just a few, they fill up quickly. The rest of the pool area offers virtually no shade, which is our main disappointment with this part of the hotel.

Outdoor pools in Moab are not typically open year-round. If you plan to visit Moab in February or other cooler months, please reach out to the hotel to determine if your travel plans fall within the pool’s open season.

Nice, heated outdoor spa and pool. Fire pit. Awesome suite. Healthy, delicious breakfast. Friendly staff. – Loran (Expedia Review

Very nice place, friendly staff, room was huge, and overall great place to stay. Arrived really late at 2:30am and was still able to check in just fine. They also had a cook that was making breakfast tacos and serving sausage. Plenty of breakfast food options, unfortunately they ran out of coffee, but I got there close to the end of breakfast, so I blame myself. – Clint (Expedia Review

Clean and comfortable room with lots of amenities and only 5 min drive to Arches National Park. Great pool and outdoor area to relax after a long day in the park. Would highly recommend. – Simon (Expedia Review

My husband and daughter driving a jeep in Canyonlands National Park

It’s a wonder to behold the magnificent canyon the Colorado river has shaped over so much time. But the views are just the beginning of what Canyonlands has to offer. Whether you hike, bike or 4×4 your way around the White Rim Road, this national park won’t disappoint.

If you only have one day in Canyonlands, we would recommend exploring the 4×4 White Rim Road and Shafer Trail or visiting the different viewpoints and going on a few short hikes. We really enjoyed hiking to Mesa Arch with our kids.

There’s no better way to experience Moab than by its off-road trails. Fins and Things and Hell’s Revenge are two of our favorites. Rent a Jeep or take a 4×4 tour to experience the real backcountry of Moab.
