If you have not explored the Hoover Dam, you should do so. The dam is located just outside of Henderson, Nevada. The dam is a sight to behold. Its magnitude and size are incredible, along with it being an engineering marvel. The dam supplies enough electricity for one million people.

You can explore the dam for free if you are looking for something economical to try while in Las Vegas, or you can go on a tour of the dam, where you will be able to see the turbines and the different tunnels that run throughout the dam.

We have explored the area multiple times, and the dam tour is worth the cost. The guide will teach you about the dam and its importance, along with lots of fun facts about how it was built. We had such a great time on our tour down into the Hoover Dam.

The only downside about this area is that it is an hour to get there. However, if you have the time, it is worth it to explore. If you do not have a car or don’t want to go by yourself, there are some tours that will do all the work for you.
